Hungary and EU market entry study before you commit

Most entry decisions are made on a mix of a conference conversation, a supplier's opinion and one site visit. That is enough to get a company registered and not nearly enough to know whether the model works here. The questions that actually decide it are boring ones: what licences the activity needs, what the real cost of employing people is, which structure the tax treaty makes sensible, and what an incoming investor is entitled to ask for.

A fixed fee for a defined scope, confirmed in writing after the scoping session so you know what you are buying.

Timeline: Typically 3-5 weeks depending on how much has to be verified with authorities directly.

Tell us briefly what you need. We send back a written scope and the fee.

We use what you send us only to answer your enquiry. No newsletter unless you ask for one.

A short summary is enough.

What you get

01

Sector and competitor scan for your activity in Hungary and the neighbouring EU markets

02

The licensing, permitting and product-compliance requirements that apply to you

03

Entity and tax structure options, with the consequences of each set out plainly

04

What incentives and support an incoming investor in your position can realistically pursue

05

A site or partner shortlist, with the reasoning behind each name

06

A recommendation with a sequenced plan and the decisions you have to make

How it works

A scoping session: what you sell, to whom, and what you have already decided

Desk research and, where it matters, direct enquiries to authorities and operators

A draft you can challenge, then the final study

A working session to go through the recommendation with your team

The study is deliberately not a market report. Market reports describe a country; this describes your decision.

It is written by the people who would go on to implement it, which changes what goes in. A consultant who will never file the paperwork can afford to say "a Kft. is recommended". A firm that has to register the company, sign the lease and defend the tax position writes something more specific, because it will be held to it.

If the honest answer is that Hungary is the wrong entry point for your sector, the study says that. It has happened, and it is cheaper for everyone than finding out afterwards.

FAQ

How is this different from a consultancy market report?

It is written by the lawyers and accountants who would implement the recommendation, so it commits to specifics: this entity form, this licence, this sequence. A report that will never be executed by its author can stay comfortably general.

Does it cover more than Hungary?

Yes where it matters. Hungary is inside the EU single market, so a distribution or manufacturing decision here is usually a regional decision. We bring in colleagues in the relevant neighbouring markets rather than pretending the border is the edge of the question.

What if we then want you to implement it?

That is the usual outcome, and the study is written so it can be handed to the implementation team without a second discovery phase. It is not a condition of the work.
