Verify a Chinese supplier before you send the deposit
The website looks professional, the samples were good, and the person on WeChat is responsive and pleasant. None of that tells you whether the entity on the invoice exists, whether it is licensed to export, whether it owns a factory or is reselling from one, or whether it is currently being sued by three other buyers. All of that is checkable, in a few days, in Chinese, from official company registers and court records in China, by someone who knows what to look for.
A fixed fee for the desk checks, confirmed in writing before we start. A site visit, if you want one, is quoted separately once we know the location.
Timeline: Records checks typically 3-5 working days. A site visit depends on location and is usually arranged within two weeks.

FAQ
Is it worth it for a small first order?
Compare it to the deposit. The check costs a fraction of what you are about to transfer, and the most common finding, that the trading company on the invoice is not the factory you visited, changes what you should be signing regardless of order size.
Can you check a supplier we have used for years?
Yes, and it is worth doing periodically. Ownership changes, licences lapse, and enforcement records appear. A long relationship tells you about the people; it does not tell you about the balance sheet.
Where does this information come from?
From official company registers and court records in China. Public disclosure of Chinese court judgments has become less complete in recent years, so the report states plainly what was found, what was not available, and what that gap does or does not tell you.
What if the check finds something wrong, or the supplier stops responding once we raise it?
That is common, and it is more useful to know before money moves than after. If a live payment dispute has already started, our commercial debt recovery and dispute resolution service picks up from there.
The supplier is large and well known. Is a check still worth it?
Often more so, because size is exactly what buyers stop verifying. The entity issuing your invoice, taking your deposit and signing your contract is not always the parent brand you researched, and a group's reputation does not always extend to every entity that trades under its name.
